Week #3


Game Artist

This week and the week after is game artists week as they are completing assets design before we proceed to assemble them in program with game programmers. So, for these 2 weeks game programmers' is figuring out codes and errors using dummy assets. While game designer will be assisting game artist in managing assets.  PlayMates got 2 game artist2, Melinda and Widi. After several discussions, they both agree to divide their jobdesk into 2: Melinda as character designer and Widi as background and properties designer. This week, Melinda gave report on character design progress. She managed to colors all the assets and completing basic design for the main character and enemy, while the boss character is in progress. Also, after discussion, we agree to add more character in enemy side, sniper and bomber. Sniper's job is to shoot from a distance and bomber's job is to give more challenge in the final level. After basic character design is completed, next jobdesk for character designer is to create animation frame for every character movement, main character and enemies.  using guide list of animation and minimum frame required from game designer. Moving to other side, bakcground and properties designer, Widi, had managed to complete several building ass background, but still confused with properties and foreground design. After discussing with game designer and game programmer, we agree to use tilemap and list some properties required.
